We understand the nuances of the FileNet system and have a solid data migration methodology and the tools to successfully move your content, presented through appropriate applications and workflows. Options include departmental conversion, convert on demand, or complete enterprise-wide conversions performed on-site or off-site.
Data Migration Flexibility
Critical to a successful migration is the accurate export and conversion of content. Our solution allows for the high volume conversion of documents directly from FileNet Imaging Services or FileNet Document/Content Servers (IDM IS or CS/DS servers). Export extracts both documents and index values from FileNet and stores them as disk files, in preparation for import into Documentum. Text contained in annotations is exported. COLD documents can be exported both in their native format or converted to text. Optionally, COLD documents can be converted to TIFF, with or without a background image. Single-page TIFFs can be combined into multi-page TIFFs.
Providing maximum flexibility, we capture the current state of each document at export time. Changes made to a document's index fields after the document was written to magnetic or optical disk will be included in the export, even though FileNet never writes the changes to optical disk. Document export can be done incrementally, in stages. If new documents are added to the system after the export is complete, those new documents can be selectively exported.
